A family business in a mixed-use building in Brooklyn. Something you grow up inside of. Either walk away from, or go all in on.

THE ORIGIN
A building in Brooklyn.
a business built to last.
My dad bought a mixed-use building in Brooklyn, New York for his supermarkets. On the side of the building sat a laundromat and a barber shop. When the barber moved out, my dad expanded the laundromat into that space. That was our first store.
I grew up working in that building. Between the supermarket aisles and the laundromat floor. Over time, I worked in the business more and more in high school, in college, and after. I came back to it several times. In 2015, my dad was ready to slow down. It was time for me to take it over for good.
We built three laundromat locations together in Brooklyn.
That foundation is everything.
The First Store
Dad purchases a mixed-use building in Brooklyn. The laundromat expands into the former barber shop space. I grow up working the floor.
Taking the Reins
Dad slows down. I take over the family business. Three Brooklyn locations, built together over the years, are now my responsibility.
The Soap Box
I lease a separate space across the street. A new brand called The Soap Box. Focused entirely on pickup and delivery and wash & fold. This was the turning point.
Full Focus on Service
Stepped away from self-service. Doubled down on pickup and delivery and wash & fold. The model I wanted to focus on at that time.
VIP Bubbles & Self-Service Returns
Back in self-service with VIP Bubbles. On our terms, with the hospitality standard we've always held. Pickup, delivery, wash & fold, and self-service, all running together.
